There is a really interesting conversation on the neurological effects of meditation between Richard Davidson and Daniel Goleman. One can listen to samples of it at www.morethansound.net

If you're interested in getting started i a basic but effective meditation practice, here are two great resources:

1) The Attention Revolution: Unlocking the Power of the Focused Mind by B Alan Wallace. Dr. Wallace gives a thorough outlin for beginning Tibetan Buddhist meditation

2) http://www.naturalstressreliefusa.org/ (NSR) Although this technique is comparable with the Transcendental Meditation® program taught by Maharishi Mahesh Yogi and the organizations he founded, NSR is completely separate from them. The technique they teach is much less expensive than TM®, has none of the mysticism, yet leads to the same goal: a happier and more creative life. Though it is nearly identical to TM, it costs only $25 to get started. It's easy to learn and quite profound to experience

I have been to busy to educate myself on the art of happiness. This video presents itself well. I only wish it had more detailed information. This will be my New Year Resolution; to change the way I think about things.
Nothing is coincidental: Elisabeth Kubler Ross MD.

An important principle I'd like to get better at practicing: positively modifying mind to in turn modify the brain, and then action & reality including happiness. Well worth the wait through the long introduction.
