Dr. Dean Ornish and colleagues have shown that a lifestyle regimen featuring meditation, a low-fat vegetarian diet, smoking cessation, and regular exercise can not only stop the progression of coronary heart disease, but actually reverse it. Other diseases may be similarly avoided through simple tweaks in one's lifestyle, he asserts.
