My mother was very family oriented and wanted the whole family to get together at least once a year to catch-up on each others life. She had four nursing homes and devoted her time to the business and to her church. When I was a kid, she saw to it that I got formal voice (singing) lessons, took me to jymnastics practice and encouraged me to be in football, baseball, track,chorus, band, and my father helped me become a craftsman in the craftmans guild. I always felt loved and learned to return love.

I think that life's experience gave me the the connection to my inner self, and an awareness that there was something more, leading to this point in life where truth is known and cherished.

No, we never really had reunions like my mother wished. But now Patti and I have all our family over every Sunday to share a meal and watch the children play together. We asssign one family each Sunday to have their group give a spiritual lesson, skit and share their talents. We have family reunion every year and I think of my mother and how she wished it but could never accomplish the togetherness, love and knowing that my family shares. And I do it in her honor.

I know that when I think of her she is aware of that, even though she has gone-on, and I can hear her laughter, and hear her words of thanksgiving

Indeed she had a life well-lived. and I am what I am because of her and dad.
