I find a lot of value -- as initiator as well as receiver -- of really simple acts of communication: exchanging a friendly remark while taking a walk, or just noticing someone (with an easy, pleasant frame of mind). It seems to lift both spirits a little, every time.

Much synchronization on your views Mr. Samson! I work at Wing'n'Out a fast food Chicken Bar and Restuarant based out of San Diego, California and one of my co-workers is a non-english speaking Mexican lady who knows only a few words in english like hello, thank you, and excuse me. Every day at work I always love to see her because since we can't talk to eachother verbally we always exchange a smile that I am sure brightens both of our spirits. Its great to notice people. Thanks for your words of wisdom brotha!

Okay Brothers and Sisters! I have a question as a young and aspiring Sentient being finding his meaning and enjoying his esoteric path. I would like to clarify the experience of "chills" or the tingling sensation I get up and down my spine. What is that? Why does it happen? How can I use this? At the moment I merely enjoy them. I was told before that it happens during the experience of great truth from a good friend which seems true to me because when I get these "chills" it usually works with my thought process and events that unfold. I have asked my Accupuncturist to which she could not give me a professional opinion on what it is. So my hopethesis is that a regular doctor could not explain it either. So I'm sure it's something spiritual. If anyone can give me insights and advice and what it is, how to use it, why I get it and so on I'd love the help. Thank you friends and family for taking the time to read my post. Hope all is well and gravy train in your worlds.

Hi, Jordan! Here is what I found out just now. The tingling means:
Spine-tingling is a reaction to either being spooked (e.g. an animal sensing danger) or a human hearing/feeling/seeing something so personally moving that it sends chills down their body. The sensation can be spontaneous but can be felt before it happens similar to a yawn or sneeze. This sensation is similar to nobs and may cause goose bumps or chills. The orients call this energy, "Chi." Others call it, "Life force energy." Same thing. In bellydancing, the spine is considered the Kundalini also called, "Serpant Fire." You have a white dragon to the right of the spine & a Black Dragon on the left. Kundalini (kuṇḍalinī कुण्डलिनी) according to various teachings is a type of "corporeal energy".[1] Kundalini in Sanskrit literally means "coiled up". Kundalini is envisioned as a serpent coiled at the base of the spine,[2][3][4] hence a number of English renderings of the term such as 'serpent power'. Hindu sources on the subject: In Hinduism, kundalini is a part of the subtle body along with chakras and nadis. A number of models of this esoteric anatomy occur in the class of texts known as Āgamas or Tantras. This is a large body of scripture, which is rejected by many orthodox brahmins.[5]. There are numerous models of kundalini in the Sanskrit source texts. In early texts there are various systems of chakras and nadis, with varying connections between them.
Over time one system of six or seven chakras along the body's axis became the dominant model, adopted by most schools of yoga. This particular system may have originated in about the 11th century AD, and rapidly became widely popular.[6] It is in this model where Kundalini is said to "rise" upward, piercing the various centers until reaching the crown of the head, resulting in union with the Divine. This is the conventional arrangement cited by Monier-Williams, where the chakras are defined as "6 in number, one above the other".[7] The most famous of the Yoga Upanishads, the Yogatattva, mentions four kinds of yoga, one of which being laya-yoga, the symbolic dissolution (laya) of the universe visualized within the body with a corresponding raising of a corporeal energy known as Kundalini.[8] Another source text for the concept of kundalini is the Hatha Yoga Pradipika written by Swami Svatmarama (English translation, 1992) somewhere between the twelfth and fifteenth centuries. According to yogic writings and oral tradition, the force of Kundalini is raised through specific meditative practices.

Kundalini-experiences are understood using the structure of the chakra system, the psycho-spiritual energy centers along the spine. According to Hindu tradition Kundalini rises from the root chakra up through the spinal channel, (called Shushumna), and it is believed to activate each chakra it goes through. Each chakra is said to contain special characteristics.[20] The chakras are any of the nerve plexes or centers of force and consciousness located within the inner bodies of man. When Kundalini Shakti unites itself with the Supreme Being (Lord Shiva), the aspirant gets engrossed in deep meditation during which he perceives infinite bliss.[21][22] In raising Kundalini, spiritual powers (siddhis) are also believed to arise. However, many spiritual traditions see these phenomena as obstacles on the path, and encourage their students not to be distracted by them.[23]

Lukoff, Lu & Turner[24][citation needed] notes that a number of psychological difficulties might be associated with Asian spiritual practices, and that Asian traditions recognize a number of pitfalls associated with intensive meditation practice. Transpersonal literature[25] notes that kundalini rising is not without dangers. If we take this into consideration there might exist good reasons not to engage in such intensive practices unless guided by an accredited teacher, or unless one has undergone thorough psychological preparation and education in the chosen meditation-practice. Traditional teachers of Kundalini meditation also warn neophytes of the potential dangers of experimenting with Kundalini Yoga techniques. Anxiety, dissociation, depersonalization, altered perceptions, agitation, and muscular tension have been observed in western meditation practitioners[26] and psychological literature is now addressing the occurrence of meditation-related problems in Western contemplative life.[27][28] Among these we find "Kundalini Syndrome" (see below) and different forms of "wind illness" described in the Tibetan tradition.[29][citation needed]

According to modern experimental research,[30] Kundalini and Bioenergy are expressions of the same energetic reality in humans. Through social conditioning and emotional traumata, this life energy is usually suppressed and blocked in chronic subconscious muscle tensions, which have their psychological counterpart in emotional blocks and ego-defenses. When this "muscle armor" (as bioenergy calls it) is softened or broken and/or the live energy is amplified by strong emotion or in life-endangering situations, the body begins to shake and vibrate involuntarily, and the Kundalini energy starts reanimating formerly repressed psychosomatic areas. If this development is not suppressed again (or even supported), the resulting Kundalini rising will bring old traumata of body and psyche to the surface in a sort of natural healing process - partly very intense as well as radically changing. Usually the "cleansing" phase of extreme emotions, experiences of subconscious material and (perhaps) illnesses or casualties last about 2 to 4 years. After that time (in a seamless and slow transition) Kundalini begins to be available in the whole body and psyche for further qualitative grow of the individual. The whole process is said to last about 15 to 20 years altogether. Although the Kundalini rising is thought to be a natural rebalancing of body and psyche, it is said to be highly advisable to get competent and experienced support during the first years, as many things can develop in an unnatural way in our "normal" societies (which are often assumed to be the cause to suppress the Kundalini starting at a very early age). Not to get off the subject but I enjoy the belly dancing method. I don't belly dance temporarily because of the possibility the symptoms & weight gain I've been having could be pregnancy. I've got to make an appointment with my Doctor soon to find out for sure. Belly dancing uses every muscle in your body! I bought a CD called, "Mary Magdalen Energy Meditation Alchemical Practices to Elevate & Balance the Serpent Power Within" by Tom Kenyon. I used this CD only once so far because the background music seriously reminds me of the movie the mummy. It didn't set well with me. Plus, I have a copy of Mary Magdalen's Manuscript. It is a dictation from Mary Magdalen. She admits being married to Jesus & being pregnant at the time of the cross, & their child was a girl (rumor was true), & how Mary's daughter's descendents became the Knights of Templar. Okay, let me ask you history buffs a question out there. If Jesus was never married nor had a child as Orthodox doctrine would have you believe, then why did King Author start the Knights of Templar to protect Jesus' descendents?! Ah huh! Proof is in the pudding, isn't it. Anyways, I recommend the CD to anyone who is interested in raising the Kundalini fire who has not watched the mummy movie either. Back to what we were talking about tingles of the spine, that is the information I have about what those sensations mean etc. Lots of Love, Michelle

P.S.
Anyone else have any input on this subject?

Awwww thank you sooo much Michelle. It is very much appreciated. Alot of that information helped take down the scaffolding for my brains mental calculation of what it was. Especially the part about it being related to chakras. I kind of thought about it, but shrugged it off thinking it was one of my old mind habbits playing a trick on me...tisk tisk. It really helped me alot tho I will dig into my knowledge about chakras each time I get a chill in the certain area. I also had a feeling it was the Kundalini but once again without the proof i was a lost puppy. It's great that I've been experiencing the earths energy but I think i may have had some of the negative side affects. Which isn't a worry now because I'm going to an Accupuncturist who is curing me of alot of those symptoms. The explanation you gave me totally resolved my problem on how to use it tho. Practice indeed is what I need I'll definately watch out for CD's or books etc about how to practice with it. The belly dancing one sounds uber interesting but unfortunately I have seen The Mummy quite a few times haha. The serpant power is definately enjoying my physical body! Take care. Love, Jordan.

I believe that before practicing any kundalini related work- the Heart centre needs to be activated. It is like a magnetic shield, that, if absent, make a person open to all kinds of outer influences, that may not be of a positive nature. The Heart co-vibrates with the core of the universe, the central Heart. At the core of our planet, or every atom there is a living fire of a central Heart. Human beings have a power to strengthen the connection and, in combination with a thought, to produce wonderful creations and deeds. In older times they would say- "A heart is a shield and thought is an arrow", but it as an arrow only in coupe with the activated Heart. Otherwise the thought may be too self-absorbed or even destructive. See, the Heart is selfless, because ultimately it is the living universal flame. Therefore the Heart can be activated by selfless acts, like Jesus said- wish for others what you'd wish for yourself, meaning that common good is the way to go. It is the place where joy lives.

I will admit to not being the foremost expert on chakra cleaning. All I can do is share my personal experiences. FYI. The first chakra that gets cleaned is the heart chakra. However, this is what I've experienced; you can shine your heart light very brightly, but if you are not protected you leave your heart light energy vulnerable which can be raped from you, leaving you with negative feelings like anger or depression. I've learned to develop a habit of asking my non-physical family for help whether it be cleaning or rotating the chakras or anything else. God told his angels along time ago to serve & protect his children. But angels cannot intervene until we ask them to; that is a part of the Universal Law of Free Will. This is WHY I recommend to everyone who does any kind of Chakra cleaning or any kind of Spirit work to ask for Protection from God/Archangel Michael.
I started reading a book recently learning that certain sounds can clean the chakras. The book is called, "Sacred Sounds" Transforming through Music & Word written by Ted Andrews. I love music. I am learning how to play a guitar. I have a Hohner, a cheapy. It used to have steal strings but Jim replaced them with nylon until my fingers get used to them. Recently, I started playing my husband Jim's Mahogany wood 5 string guitar (A Martin). Nice deep yet mellow sound. My guitar has a kind of Spanish sound to it, to give you an idea of what it sounds like. I like to create my own songs instead of feeling boxed in to learn someone else's music. For me, it is more enjoyable creating my own songs/music. I'm finding the guitar easier than a piano. LOL... I used to think the piano was easy. HA! Anyways... Love you all, Michelle

Thanks for the heads up Vadim. I don't really know how to activate the Heart centre and by all means I don't mean to shoot the Kundalini in my body, it just happens. But I do understand your follow up about every atom having heart and the heart being a shield and thought an arrow. Also how to not be selfless. I do have a lot of growing up to do spiritually still. So I won't give up. Also I'll use the teqnique of asking angels including Micheal to protect me from negative energy or having my positive energy being raped from the core of my heart. I also agree with Michelle about experiencing it in the heart first. That's usually where it starts. Then sometimes I can shove it up to my Third Eye or any chakra I wish(the lower ones being hardest) to clense that chakra and un-cloud the negative energy there. That's really intersesting about the sacred sounds I'd love to know and experience what they are and what they can do especially if they can be acheived with a guitar.

Hi!

Ah yes, those wonderful chills that run up and down the spine, or ida / prakti channels, or kundalini racing up and down through the chakras by means of the core. I first experienced those 11 years ago after reiki attunements and kriya initiation (pranayama / kundalini yoga).
I recommend self discovery from direct experience, and beware of fear!
Enjoy the feeling :)

Yeah Man I've also calculated that it is associated with Prana, the tube running through the middle of our body from head to toe, from what I've read about energy channels in the human machine. The wierd thing is I've had no training in using this energy source. I am often very open to it during meditation, that's when it happens the most frequent and successively but before I even knew what it really was I was feeling it on a daily basis. And only since I've been on my spiritual path has it been this much of a "regular" thing for me now. Before it only happened whenever I would talk about ghosts and what not. Speaking about stepping up in consciousness do you or anyone reading this know what a Crystal Child is or an Indigo Child. I have a very vauge idea of what they both are. Me being one of them and I think it has alot to do with how I recieve the kundalini.

As we attain the age our SoulSpirit urges decisions...not demanding.....encouraging.......our existance to turn forward to the good end.
Consiousness of self....at the crossroads seeking a comforting creed.....can we drift to others understanding.....or must we make our way with our own choice.

We are the channel of the LifeForce....offering us power....to serve....to up-lift....to share in a perfect love. Our bodies....the mortal self...have needs and demands....that can tend to dominate...and if given full rein...pull us from our destiny.

We serve ourselves by serving others.......and thus mould our soulspirit.....seeking a balance....avoiding the excesses of joy and sadness....pleasure and melancholy.....despair and exhilaration.....moderation in all things.....complete control of the self.

The greatest of lifeforce diversities is love.....forms of love manifest as reverance.....appreciating melody.......beauty...verbally sharing with nature.....your appreciation.......with the "Source of All."

Turning away from the world is the wrong teaching.........life was given....to be fully lived.....to be experienced.....striving for resolution.
Many side-roads are there....alluring...seeking to divert the tru-way. Worldly success is a reward of diligence.....that is to be sought with moderation...seeking a proper balance.....a state of harmony.

Larry, will you quit torturing yourself with these endless mind wanderings. Sweetheart, I love you very much. You're my brother!

There is no grand plan/destiny already written for ourselves.

We are not "of this world," Larry. We are God's children. We are Light Body Beings. We are the power generators of our physical bodies. The physical body is just a tool for our Light Bodies to use while we are on earth. We have negative karma we need to purify. We need to call forth the sacred violet transmuting flame for the transmutation of the cause & core of the records of rebellion. Every time we hurt someone else, we hurt ourselves because we are hurting a brother or sister. We have lived many lives & we have forgotten that we are family. And we need to find a way to correct that hurt.

You decide in every NOW moment through what you are thinking & feeling tTOGETHER whether you are moving with the flow back to Source (God) or not. It is as point blank as that!

I highly recommend that each individual to be MINDFUL guarding their heart (emotions) & thoughts (mind) AT ALL TIMES. (Thoughts & feelings depict that actions you will end up taking.) Because your thoughts & emotions together is your guiding system letting you know whether you are going WITH the flow back to Source or not.

When you go with the flow back to Source, you feel good. So keep flowing back to Source.

UNITY! My Love To You All, Michelle
"The Eagle"
