Has anyone from N.Y.C or nearby had a Near Death or Out of Body Experience?

I am a researcher for an upcoming pilot show that's currently in the making, regarding out of body experiences and near death experiences. I haven't had an out-of-body experience, but my mother years ago told of a vivid experience she had when her kids were young. She experienced moving toward a bright, warming light that did not hurt her eyes. The feeling was wonderful, she said, and she dearly wanted to be in the presence of the light, whatever if was. But a thought came into her consciousness, "Harold [my father] and the children need me." With that, she experienced re-entering her body.

For your upcoming pilot show, you probably want to interview people with first-hand experience, and I will refer to you anyone I come across.

Gathering this kind of information for important projects is exactly the kind of thing SuperLife was set up to facilitate!

My wife had a coupeof out-f-body experiences before that had nothing to do with near death....she said she watched at the actvities below. I remember, she told me she felt the cold of the ceiling on one occasion and when she opened her eyes she was floating at the ceiling level....she doesn't remember a seperation....nor does she she remember re-entering her body.
I attempted to seperate myself from my body during meditation, as an exercise.....I felt my abs tighten.....and the feeling of sitting on the railing of my waterbed.......and questioning if it really happened...but I live in the Mountains of Arizona where every day is just another day in paradise. The air is clear here at a mile high.

My out of body experience had nothing to do with near-death. I was sitting in traffic, and for a couple seconds, I saw an image of myself driving, like I was sitting in the passenger seat looking at myself. It took a few seconds to realize what just happened . I didnt know if I just imagined it , or if it was real. It felt very real. It set off a major panic attack, which I've never had before.

Your experience seems like it was surreal, and because it was an "Out of Body" type experience, you'll never fully know what it was. Sounds like a kind of Out of Body experience to me, these topics are really deep, there are so many sides to them.

Do you feel that incident changed your life?

yeah, i believe it changed my life somewhat.. it confirmed to me that there is a lot more to our beings than we know. There have been many other instances throughout my life that had to do with more with esp- type events, but nothing like that one. It felt a little scary, mostly because I didnt know what it was ... thought I may be going crazy ..lol.

I hope you realize now with all these forums and research that you are not crazy. Whilst I haven't had these experiences, I've had many surreal instances where I've thought I'm going crazy as I became unsure if these instances were real or not, or if it was my mind playing tricks on me.

There is more to life and it's complexed and scary like you say, we just have to live each moment and be good to ourselves and others.

I agree. There are powerful forces around us, and they definitely affect us. I strongly believe in karma, and the energy we send out is the energy we receive.

I have been doing some research over the years on out -of -body experiences, esp, and other surreal instances, since these things happen to me so often. I dont know if I'll ever have another out-of-body experience, but if I do, I'll know what it was.
